Participant and Display Experience

Participants usually join via:

  • QR code
  • Shared URL

Different activities may use different audience/display pages.

Across activities, users commonly see:

  • Waiting/lobby state
  • Active interaction state
  • Submitted/locked state
  • Results/reveal state

You typically have two kinds of display surfaces:

  • Projector display pages controlled by host actions
  • Interactive audience pages where users submit/rank/answer

Examples:

  • Polls/SparkQuiz: dedicated audience page plus display page
  • Forms/Collective Voting: audience-facing display-style pages
  • Slides: locked display vs browse display variants

At each activity start:

  1. Show QR and link.
  2. Tell participants what to submit.
  3. Tell them when reveal happens.
  4. Confirm completion before advancing.
  • Use short links and large QR projection.
  • Give extra time for first interaction.
  • Prefer concise question text.
  • Repeat spoken instructions after each state change.
